We really enjoyed a tour of the French Quarter with David. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about the city. He was able to answer all of the questions we had about the history of New Orleans and provided a lot of great tips for a day in the city.

We went on three different tours (French District, cemetery and Garden District) with the Nola Tour Guy during our visit. Both David and Sal are knowledgeable with the history of the city and the buildings. It was far better than just roaming the areas by ourselves and I feel like I have better understanding of the city overall thanks to them. Highly recommended. And please even though they offer their services for free, tip them generously. They’re worth every penny.

I only had one weekend in New Orleans and I knew I wanted to make the most of my time. I took the 2 hour walking tour in the Garden District and I 100% recommend it!!! This peaceful, beautiful area is just a short streetcar ride from downtown. My tour guide, David, was SO knowledgeable--he knew hundreds of years of history for each house we saw and gave us greater context in the history of the city and the world too.

Tour was great!! Guide was super knowledgeable and fun. We did the French Quarter Walking Tour and it was soo helpful in getting oriented to the city and getting ideas of things to do in the area. Highly recommend if you want a quick overview on the history and sights of New Orleans!

My wife and I did the Garden District and French Quarter tours with David. Both tours were spectacular. He's been a guide for 12+ years and is passionate about the city and its history. Bring a bottle of water, your walking shoes and be prepared to learn about the history and architecture of New Orleans.

Our guide, David was very friendly and knowledgeable. Be aware that the tour is information heavy, rather than geography heavy. We made frequent stops and David gave us a lot of historical and architectural background about where we were. But even with those stops, you cover a good amount of area of the French Quarter. I would definitely recommend doing the tour as you get an educated perspective on the area. The photo attached of the St. Louis Cathedral is from when we met our group to start the tour.

We had Eric for a guide through the Garden District, and he did great! There were only 3 of us on the tour, so it was like a private tour. He calls himself a history nerd and the details came out in the things he shared. We enjoyed the tour. We did the French Quarter tour with Sal the next day. Again, it was a fun tour! Sal gave a lot of history about the origins of New Orleans and the mix of cultures’ influences that made the city what it is today. As a side note, Sal didn’t talk about recent history if that’s what you are looking for, but no one asked about it either.
